Lebanon Hills House Deep Energy Retrofit Tour

Learn from owner and host Ryan Stegora as he shares this personal project with us. The home began as a 1967 rambler with an uninsulated walkout foundation.  The scope of the project included rebuild of garage and second story addition and complete interior remodel built to passive house standard although not certified.  Key features include:

  • Insulation of all foundation walls (inside and out)

  • Basement slab replaced with fully insulated and heated concrete slab

  • Garage completely removed and replaced with 2 story fully insulated ICF foundation and floor

  • Exterior walls wrapped with OSB for air and vapor barrier

  • 12 inch Larson truss added to exterior walls to accommodate 12 inch dense packed cellulose

  • Zola euro style windows

  • R100 raised heel truss roof structure with standing seam steel

  • All interior hardwood sourced/salvaged on site and locally (cabinetry, window sills, railing and floor)

  • Chilltrix air to water heat pump includes air handler and in floor heating/cooling along with domestic

We will follow the tour with a backyard social hour. We hope you can join us!
